Here you find your shortcuts. When you click on one, you will visit directly the respective website or category.
Here you find your categories. When you click on one, it will be selected.
Green indicates the path that leads to your currently selected category. Blue indicates the sub categories of the selected category.
If you have a hard time building your own category system, use the Add category favlet in connection with Visit Open Directory feature.
Here you find all bookmarks in the selected category.
In the top category you have access to the bookmarks you recently used.
This is a shortcut to a category. When you click on it, the respective category will be selected.
This is a shortcut to a bookmark. When you click on it, the respective website will be visited.
This a super category of the selected category. When you click on it, it will be selected.
This is the selected category.
This is a sub category of the selected category. When you click on it, it will be selected.

To create a shortcut to the highlighted category and to create categories and bookmarks in highlighted category.

Press Enter to accept the changes and Esc to reject them.
Press Tab to change between input fields.
In View mode you can navigate through your categories to access the bookmarks stored in them. You can use shortcuts for faster navigation.
If you are new to Rosegarden, you should take your time to read through all the help items.
Press Shift to change to Edit mode.
In Edit mode you can do everything that you can do in View mode, but also create new bookmarks, categories and shortcuts. This functionality is accessed by context menus. Just go to the element you want to revise and choose from the menu items.
Once you have made changes, the menu item "Save" will turn red. Click on "Save" to store changes online and then save the revised returning Rosegarden to your local file system.
Press Shift to change to View mode.
To move the highlighted element up and down. Use the Up and Down keys. Press Enter to confirm.
Note: Internet Explorer Users, press Alt + Up and Alt + Down.
To copy the highlighted bookmark to another category. Use Paste to insert.
To cut the highlighted bookmark to another category. It is deleted from the current category. Use Paste to insert.
To delete the highlighted element.
To make the highlighted bookmark more visible.
To paste all bookmarks from the clipboard into the highlighted category. You see the contents of the clipboard below the menu item. If there is not any, the clipboard is empty.
Note: Rosegarden has its own clipboard, which has nothing to do with the operating system's clipboard you use every day.
To save your changes on Rosegardens online.
Be sure that you save the revised returning Rosegarden on your local file system via your web browser's save function, if you want a local copy of your Rosegarden (recommended)!
Note: Internet Explorer users, choose "HTML only" in the save dialog.
You must be connected to the Internet and logged in to Rosegardens to be able to save online.
To update your Rosegarden.
Do this if you have made any changes from a different location or if you just want to be sure to have the latest version of your Rosegarden. Also new features will become available.
You must be connected to the Internet and logged in to Rosegardens to update.
To edit local options.
The values you set will be stored in cookies, so they will be only in effect on this computer in this browser.
To clear the list of recently used web pages.
All entries from the list of recently used web pages will be removed.
To login to Rosegardens. You must be connected to the Internet.
To logout of Rosegardens. You must be connected to the Internet.
Remember to login before you start making changes!
To search for bookmarks type in your search phrase.
The search phrase is looked for in the name and the URL of bookmarks.
Press Enter to search the complete Rosegarden.
Press Tab to search through the selected category and its sub categories.
To administer your Rosegarden.
You can change your password or import your browser bookmarks in this section of the Rosegardens web page.
You must be connected to the Internet and logged in to Rosegardens to administer your account.
This is the 'Add Bookmark' favelet. Drag it on your browser's tool bar to make adding bookmarks easier.
Note: Internet Explorer users, drag it on the "Links" button next to the address field.
When you are visiting a website you want to add to your Rosegarden, simply click on the 'Add Bookmark' favelet in your browser's tool bar. You will be redirected to your Rosegarden and will find the bookmark in the clipboard from where you can paste it to the category of your choice. Don't forget to save and update your local copy then!

When you are visiting a category in the Open Directory (http://dmoz.org), click on 'Add Category' and the currently selected category will be added to your Rosegarden. Don't forget to save and update your local copy then!

These two favelets make working with Rosegarden much easier. They become available after they are dragged onto your browser's tool bar.
To visit the highlighted category in Google Directory or the Open Directory.
With this function and the Add Category favelet you can convenietly add new categories to your Rosegarden.
You must be connected to the Internet and logged in to Rosegardens to use this feature.

This is only works, if the highlighted category exists in Google Directory.
You must be connected to the Internet and logged in to Rosegardens to vist the ODP.

Set it to the root of a directory structure.
If you save documents you download from the Internet in a directory structure identical to the category system you create in your Rosegarden, you can quickly access these directories by setting this option to the root of your directory structure, e.g. "file:///C:/Documents/".
Press Enter to accept the changes and Esc to reject them.
Note: This works only in Mozilla based browsers and the Rosegarden must be loaded from the filesystem.
